(01) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc in Ion Channel Biophysics
You will work in a project aimed at unravelling binding sites and underlying molecular mechanisms of endogenous and pharmacological compounds interacting with voltage-gated potassium ion channels. To this end, the project uses interdisciplinary approaches such as electrophysiology, molecular biology and molecular dynamics simulations. You will be the key team member using molecular dynamics approaches and will interact closely with the other experimental team members in your research group and simulation collaborators in the Delemotte lab at SciLifeLab in Stockholm.

(02) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc in scientific visualization
The objective of this PostDoc is to develop methods for the analysis and visualization of data collected from a new Photon-Counting Detector Computer Tomograph (PCD-CT) at the Center for Medical Image Science and Visualization (CMIV) at Linköping university. It offers new opportunities in imaging the coronary arteries and assessment of cardiac function. This technology is groundbreaking and currently limited to very few centers in the world. The larger context of this project is to develop a pipeline for the generation of personalized heart models improving the treatment of cardiovascular diseases in the future.

(03) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc in artificial intelligence for structural bioinformatics and cryo-EM
This position is part of the post-doctoral research project “Data-driven application to protein-protein interactions”, which is a joint interdisciplinary research project between professor Björn Wallner at Linköping University (Björn Wallner – LiU) and associate professor Alexey Amunts at SciLifeLab (Alexey Amunts – SU) with aim of using and develop AI methods to understand protein-protein interactions and apply them to biologically relevant problems for which we have cryo-EM data. The project involves using existing methods, i.e., AlphaFold, and developing new AI methods that are specific tailored to the problem and the data available. The position is based at the AI structural biology group at LiU, but it also includes extensive collaborations with the cryo-EM group at SciLifeLab.

(04) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc in Automatic Control
The postdoc position is for a research project supported by the ELLIIT project (elliit.se). It is focused on interfacing control systems and network science methodology, with the purpose of investigating the following specific topics:
1. Developing network-level models of opinion dynamics from experimental data.
2. Investigating the mathematical properties of the resulting models, in particular predicting emerging global dynamical properties (e.g. opinion formation, polarization, clustering, etc.).
As postdoc, you will principally carry out research. A certain amount of teaching may be part of your duties, up to a maximum of 20% of working hours.

(05) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc in cardiovascular image processing and AI
The postdoc in this announcement will work on the development and implementation of image processing and analysis methods based on AI, as well as other approaches. The work will be based on large amounts of cardiovascular imaging data acquired in research studies at CMIV. The work will partly involve the generation of AI-based automated image processing methods for cardiovascular MRI and CT, which will enable the analysis of data in large-scale studies in patients with cardiovascular disease which are currently conduced at CMIV.

(06) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral position in Cognitive Hearing Science
The position is placed within the research project N200, which is a longitudinal project where relationships between hearing loss, cognition, and psychosocial aspects are examined, partly motivated based on the Ease of Language Understanding model developed at the Division. The model describes the importance of cognitive mechanisms in the language comprehension process. The N200 project includes three groups (200 participants in each group): people without hearing loss, people with hearing loss who use hearing aids, and people with hearing loss who do not use hearing aids. The groups are assessed on a comprehensive test battery of hearing and cognition on three occasions, and psychosocial health and social participation is assessed on occasions two and three. The data collection from the second measurement session is about to being completed.

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc in Information Visualization and Visual Analytics
The advertised position will be affiliated to the Information Visualization research unit (iVis) led by Professor Andreas Kerren (see https://liu.se/en/research/ivis). The research group mainly focuses on the explorative analysis and visualization of typically large and complex information spaces, for example in environmental research, transportation systems, social sciences, or artificial intelligence. Our vision is to attack the big data challenge by a combination of human-centered data analysis and interactive visualization for deriving meaning from the data and final decision making. Our research is highly relevant for academia and industry as both make increasing use of data-intensive technologies.

(09) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc in the field of Gender, studies with a focus on critical data visualization
The position concerns research in the broad area of critical data visualization studies. The holder of the position is expected to contribute to both inter/trans-disciplinary feminist research and visualization design research. Feminist research on visual analysis tools is an emerging international field of inquiry and addresses how data and digital visualization technologies are entangled in the practices of doing and making science but also in the norms and values of social groups. The project connected to this position will focus on how visualization tools impact the ways that data is understood, imagined, valued or dismissed through situated, visual analysis practices with and by domain experts, and how these understandings are entangled in collaborations with visualization designers and tool development The holder of the position will engage with critical analyses of intersectional power dynamics in visualization practices and technologies as well as questions about social justice and the design of effective tools, where ‘effective’ is unpacked. The research will involve ethnographic fieldwork in expert settings and is expected to result in pragmatic recommendations for designing more ethical, responsible, and inclusive visual analysis tools. This position will be shared between the Unit of Gender Studies and Media & Information Technology, offering a unique opportunity to work closely with both feminist and visualization researchers. The successful candidate, who could come from a broad range of backgrounds, will have a shared physical presence at both departments.
