Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc position in CO2 electrocatalysis to solid products
We are looking for a candidate with a PhD degree in chemistry, materials science, physics, chemical engineering or a related discipline. As this project is a cutting-edge research activity, well beyond the current state-of-the-art in electrocatalysis, we are looking for someone creative, curious, highly motivated and with excellent problem-solving skills. Prior experience in electrochemistry, catalysis, and/or Python is an advantage.
The successful candidate will be expected to work independently in the lab while collaborating and communicating effectively with our multidisciplinary team. Postdoc summary/title: Postdoctoral position in entropy enhanced defects for sustainable catalysis
The applicants must hold a recent PhD degree, preferably in physics, chemical engineering, materials science, or mechanical engineering. Knowledge of the theory and demonstrated proficiency with QC modeling is mandatory for this position: the candidate must have an excellent record of accomplishments and publications (for the corresponding career stage) that proves an extensive hands-on experience and the ability to autonomously work with QC codes (e.g., CP2K, Quantum Espresso, or VASP). Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and experience in dealing with real data are an asset. The candidate is a curious, passionate, and proactive individual that can autonomously advance the project, engaging in discussion with the other members of the research team.
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral position on societal dynamics in the energy-materials-humans nexus
The applicants must hold a recent PhD degree, preferably in physics, system engineering, computer science, mathematics, or related disciplines. A strong background in computational science and good intuition for physical systems are mandatory. Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Researcher in Bio-inspired Robotics
We seek a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Soft Kinetic group pursuing a vision of life-like robot movement by translating mechanisms from biology as we conduct experimental validation of animal locomotion hypotheses by using robotic physical models. The candidate has demonstrable experimental robotics experience and a keen interest in biologically inspired mechanics and control. The successful candidate will develop robot locomotion capabilities leveraging their experience in mechatronics and embedded systems, whilst incorporating principles discovered in model animals. On the way to quantifying locomotion performance as a function of morphological and shape changes the ideal candidate will be comfortable in designing experimental test rigs.

The Laboratory for Thin Films and Photovoltaics is well known for its innovative research in the field of inorganic and organic-inorganic hybrid thin-film photovoltaic and battery technologies. The Laboratory holds the world record power conversion efficiency of flexible CIGS and all-perovskite tandem solar cells.
We are looking for a motivated postdoc with a strong experimental background in materials and chemistry to develop high-efficiency flexible perovskite solar cells and mini-modules using slot-die coating. You will be embedded in a collaborative Horizon Europe research project, which will enable you to interact and collaborate with European academic and industrial partners.
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc (80-100%) to develop an ontology and knowledge graph for a streamlined LCA procedure supporting researchers in evaluating novel atmospheric CO2 removal and conversion options
PhD in environmental/natural sciences or engineering or data science
Experience with using the LCA method or other assessment methods in the field of industrial ecology
Good management skills and outgoing personality

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: PostDoc to work on Electrospinning and Welding/Compositing Technologies for Tissue Engineering (80 – 100%)
We are looking for a person who posseses a PhD degree and experience in one or more of the following topics: Electrospinning, Biotechnology, Engineering, Materials/Polymer Science and Technology, Polymer Processing. The candidate must be highly motivated, independent and capable of working in a multidisciplinary environment as well as driven by scientific curiosity, interested in upscaling and quick in understanding unfamiliar technologies. Proficiency in English is required (CEFR C1 and higher); German language proficiency is a plus. The candidate should be confident in preparing project reports and presentations, organizing meetings with international industrial partners and collaborators as well as writing drafts for patent applications or scientific publications.
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc or scientist in the field of secondary raw materials for the energy and digital transitions (80 – 100%)
PhD in environmental engineering, industrial ecology or similar
Experience in modelling and evaluating the socio-economic metabolism, for example with material flow analysis or life cycle assessment

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Position in Atomic-Scale Light-Matter Interaction of 2D Materials
We seek a highly motivated experimentalist with a PhD in physics, materials science, electrical engineering, or a related field. Candidates should have a strong background in solid-state physics, optics, or quantum nanoscience. Prior experience with scanning probe microscopy, ultra-high vacuum, THz optics, 2D materials, or programming in Python/LabVIEW are advantageous. Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Researcher on Positive Energy Districts
We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join our scientific team and advance the development of strategies and methods for designing and assessing Positive Energy Districts (PEDs). This role will primarily focus on the techno-economic analysis of PEDs, integrating these findings with socio-economic and policy considerations to create a comprehensive framework for PED planning. This framework will be applied in real-world urban case studies.
