(02) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc summary/title: Postdoctoral Research Associate

Unravelling the tumour matrix to transform immunotherapy response: Cancer immunotherapy has revolutionised treatment, but for most patients with solid tumours, it still fails. Join our team and help in the development of a new class of precision therapies that remodel the tumour extracellular matrix (ECM) to convert immune-excluded tumours into therapy-responsive ones. These ECM-editing interventions are based on our discoveries that specific ECM components, and their post-translational glycosylations, control immune cell positioning and function within tumours. By precisely modifying ECM structure our therapies aim to overcome immune exclusion and sensitise tumours to immune-mediated destruction, offering new hope for cancers resistant to current immunotherapy. To achieve these goals you will: explore the spatial tumour microenvironment focusing on triple negative breast cancer, employ ECM-focused models to understand how ECM regulates immune cell positioning and phenotype, and translate these findings into therapies working with our Biotech partners
