(01) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Fellow in Law and Information Technology
Stockholm University is building a strong and dynamic environment for legal research relating to artificial intelligence and has a leading position in Sweden and the Nordic region.
The position is affiliated to the national research program WASP-HS and the research cluster The Rule of AI – AI, Regulation, and Society. The vision of WASP-HS is to foster novel interdisciplinary knowledge in the humanities and social sciences about AI and autonomous systems and their impact on human and social development. WASP-HS enables cutting-edge research, expertise, and competence building in the humanities and social sciences.
The research cluster is led by Uppsala University, Örebro University, and Stockholm University and studies how AI transforms regulatory processes, focusing on the design of, oversight over and compliance with rules (www.oru.se/english/research/research-groups/rg/?rdb=g481). The post-doctoral researcher will be part of the cluster and be placed at the Department of Law at Stockholm University but will design and conduct their post-doctoral project independently.
Deadline : 03.Aug.2026
(02) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc summary/title: Postdoctoral researcher in Coastal ecology
Coastal ecosystems in the Baltic Sea have high ecological and societal value and there is an increasing demand for scientific support for effective management and restoration of coastal habitats. This is particularly true of coastal vegetation habitats, which are important for biodiversity and, at the same time, influence the exchange of greenhouse gases between the ocean and the atmosphere and play a key role in natural carbon sequestration. In coastal systems, restoration outcomes depend both on local environmental conditions and links to offshore marine areas, which means that restoration success may be constrained or amplified by processes operating far beyond the intervention site. For example, large portions of the Baltic Sea coast and archipelagos are burdened by high offshore nutrient concentrations, while other areas have more significant impact from local nutrient input sources.
The project aims to quantitatively explore temporal and spatial connections and disconnections between open sea conditions and coastal vegetation habitats, using existing observed and modelled datasets on different temporal and spatial scales. The aim is to improve understanding of the importance of local, regional and large-scale drivers for coastal vegetation ecosystems, and how this, in turn, affects greenhouse gas turnover and the vegetation’s role as a natural carbon sink. The goal is to support efficient management of coastal habitats in the Baltic Sea and beyond.

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Fellow in High-throughput Biophysics
A postdoctoral position is available in the research lab of Emil Marklund, based at SciLifeLab campus Solna in Stockholm. In the Marklund lab (marklundlab.com), we investigate how sequence information in biological macromolecules governs recognition, binding, and dynamical structure. We combine high-throughput measurements of molecular binding with simulations and quantitative modeling to gain a physical understanding of life at the molecular level.
We are recruiting a Postdoc that wants to use and develop state of the art methods for studying binding and dynamical structure of DNA, RNA and proteins. Scientific questions in projects can involve, for example, studying specificity in transcription factor – DNA binding, detecting protein – protein interactions or enzyme optimization.
