(01) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc in Corrosion Science
At the Division of Surface and Corrosion Science, Department of Chemistry, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, fundamental research on hydrogen interactions with microstructures of metals and alloys are carried out by utilizing world-class synchrotron and neutron techniques, in collaboration with academic and industrial experts in the techniques and metal corrosion. The postdoc researcher will play a key role in the research projects financed by Swedish Science Council and Swedish Innovation Agency. One particular research project in collaboration with European Spallation Source (ESS) and Lund university is to develop and utilize neutron technique to reveal hydrogen embrittlement in alloys in real time. In addition to advanced microstructure characterization and electrochemical measurements, the postdoc will join and perform beamtime measurements in collaboration with the research team, analyze the data, summarize the results, present the results at international conferences and publish the key findings at peer-reviewed scientific journals. The postdoc researcher will be employed by KTH, with the same social benefits and insurances as all other employees at KTH. During the employment period, the postdoc will also stay at ESS in Lund, Sweden, for 2-3 months/year to carry out the research work.

(02) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc summary/title: Postdoc in genomics
Professor Tuuli Lappalainen’s research group is looking for a postdoctoral researcher for an ERC-funded research project that links variation in gene dosage to cellular traits using a systems genetics approach. The research group works at the international forefront of human functional genomics, aiming to understand how genomic variation contributes to diversity of human traits and diseases. The project combines experimental work using CRISPR technology and single cell sequencing approaches with computational analysis. The specific project will be tailored according to the interests and expertise of the postdoc, and potential approaches can include angles from human genetics, gene regulation, cell biology and computational systems biology. Additional projects and collaborations can build on other research projects and data genererated in the lab, ongoing collaborative efforts, as well as the postdoc’s own ideas. We use both computational and experimental approaches across the disciplines of human genetics, functional genomics, and molecular biology. In addition to the team at KTH, located at the SciLifeLab campus, Dr. Lappalainen also has an active research lab at the New York Genome Center, with close interactions between the teams.

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc in Mathematics, in particular, Operator theory
The postdoc should have competence within Operator Theory, especially multivariate operator theory, connecting with function theory models on polydisks. Interrelations between operator theory and more concrete issues in function theory or number theory are of particular importance. A fully funded postdoctoral position is available in a new robotics research group at KTH that explores how to adapt recent advances in AI/ML to improve the capabilities of real (fielded) autonomous robots acting in real-world workplaces and public spaces (mapping, planning, interaction). Join us to research the next generation of AI-enhanced autonomy, enabling robots to act in complex environments. We have a cutting-edge Boston Dynamics’ Spot with the Spot Arm for real-world experiments. The group is led by Assistant Prof. Olov Andersson at the Division of Robotics, Perception and Learning. (10) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc in Visual Optics
Your role as a postdoctor in visual optics will mainly be to work on existing research projects about the effect of optical errors on quality of vision in the central and peripheral visual field. This will include the maintenance and update of an adaptive optics visual simulator, programming and setting up psychophysical routines, recruiting subjects, performing measurements, analyzing the relationship between image quality and vision, as well as documenting and presenting the research results. The work will be collaborative and include supervision of students and co-supervision of PhD-students. There are also possibilities to initiate and lead new research projects within visual optics as well as to gain teaching experience both on undergraduate and graduate level.
