Postdoctoral position summary/title: Postdoc Research Associate–Midwest Markets and Entrepreneurship
The Department of Economics in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa seeks to fill a one-half time post-doctoral position in the Program for the Study of Midwest Markets and Entrepreneurship. The person who fills this position will conduct research on firm entry and exit in response to government policies and changing market opportunities under a grant directed by Professor Peter F. Orazem. The half-time position will beginning on July 1, 2021 and end on June 30, 2022. The successful candidate will engage in various research activities including study design, data collection and management, coding, statistical analyses, and writing reports.

Postdoctoral position summary/title: Postdoc Research Associate- Plant Evolutionary Genomics
The Wendel lab at Iowa State University (https://www.eeob.iastate.edu/faculty/wendel/) is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher who is broadly interested in evolutionary genomics with an emphasis on allopolyploidy. The conceptual direction of the position encompasses cytonuclear coevolutionary and homoeologous recombinational processes set in motion by allopolyploidization. Experience and interest in some or all of the following computational areas would be relevant: analysis of NGS datasets, comparative genomics, variant calling, molecular phylogenetics, and selection analyses. The initial appointment will be for one year from the date of hire, with the possibility of renewal beyond the initial term.

The Stress Physiology Investigative Team (SPIT) lab (https://research.hs.iastate.edu/spit-lab/) at Iowa State University has an opening for a postdoc scholar in neuroscience, stress physiology and adolescence. We are seeking an individual with an exceptional track record of peer-reviewed publications, experience with statistical analysis of longitudinal data, and experience publishing about mental health symptoms. The candidate should be self-motivated, have team spirit, and attention to detail. Experience utilizing or publishing fMRI data is considered an asset. The successful candidate will participate in an interdisciplinary research team to investigate neurobiology.

Postdoctoral position summary/title: Postdoctoral Research Associate-Ames Laboratory
The Postdoctoral Research Associate will work in the research group of Professor Aaron Rossini. Their primary responsibility will be to perform solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance experiments on materials such as semiconductor nanoparticles and emerging 2D semiconductors. The Postdoctoral Associate will also develop NMR methods that exploit fast MAS and indirect detection and DNP for the detection of unreceptive and exotic nuclei found in materials. The lab is equipped with a variety of fast magic angle spinning probes equipped on 9.4 T and 14.1 T spectrometers and a 263 GHz/400 MHz Bruker DNP spectrometer. This Postdoctoral Research Associate is a one-year appointment with opportunity for renewal based on funding and performance. The position is available to start immediately.

Postdoctoral position summary/title: Postdoctoral Research Associate – Functional Annotation of Animal Genomes (FAANG)
The Center for Excellence in Pig Functional Genomics at Iowa State University is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to contribute to functional genomics and epigenetics projects in swine through developing and testing of pipelines for the analysis of high-throughput genomics data. Primary responsibilities include consulting on producing and analyzing high-throughput genomics data generated for several funded projects using epigenetics approaches in swine, and contributing to publishing results. These USDA-AFRI-supported projects include the Functional Annotation of Animal Genomes (FAANG) project as well as a project to test and understand the mechanisms underlying innate immune training/memory in pigs and cattle.
