(02) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc summary/title:  Postdoctoral Research Fellow – Experimental, The ARC Digital Bioprocess Development Hub (2 x positions available)

The ARC Hub for Digital Bioprocess Development is part of the Industrial Transformation Research Hub grant scheme (ITRH Scheme) and aims to assist the Biopharma industry by increasing digital innovation, productivity and competitiveness. The Hub will engage an interdisciplinary team of engineers, scientists and computing specialists to develop digitally integrated advanced manufacturing processes and a platform for industry adoption. The program will address key bioprocessing research challenges and develop new process and digital models that can predict and optimise manufacturing processes, resulting in greater yields, faster and more flexible processes and enhanced product stability. The Hub will transform biopharmaceutical manufacturing and unlock growth opportunities to forge an internationally competitive Australian Biopharma sector.

(04) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title:  ARC Research Fellow – Parasitology

The successful applicant will work on an Australian Research Council (ARC)-funded international collaborative research project (AU-UK) to undertake field and laboratory work that will result in the taxonomic revision of aquatic snails and their parasites, define the complete genomes of key representative snail genotypes and use transcriptomics to elucidate the molecular interactions between a snail host and a parasite. Expected outcomes from this project are the creation of novel molecular resources for important snail species and to verify their roles as key vectors of flatworm parasites. The candidate will be supervised by Drs Neil Young and Anson Koehler, and work with Dr Bonnie Webster (Natural History Museum, London) and Professor Emeritus Winston Ponder (Australian Museum, Sydney) and members of the Parasitology Group within the Faculty of Science.

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title:  Research Fellow/Senior Research Fellow in Rural Health

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title:  Research Fellow in Digital Health Education

The appointee will work in the education and workforce development team within the Centre for Digital Transformation of Health. Reporting to and working closely with the Digital Health Education and Workforce Development Lead, they will work primarily on a high-profile, national program to build workforce capacity across Australia to deliver on national plans for implementation of modern interoperability standards for healthcare IT (called FHIR) as well as a range of other exciting projects.
