Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Research Fellow – Allied Health
This is an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to focus their efforts on developing their expertise and emerging research profile in their discipline. At this level it is expected that the incumbent will contribute to service and engagement roles and activities. Core to line/telehealth parent support program incorporating acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), the role is the management of a four-year Australia-wide randomised controlled trial of e-PACT, an on with families of children with neurodevelopmental disabilities (including cerebral palsy, autism and FASD) and/or developmental delay, focussing on both effectiveness and implementation. The RCT will test impact on the parent-child relationship (emotional availability), parenting, parent and child mental health and parent and child regulatory abilities as measured by heartrate variability. Implementation will be examined grounded in consolidated framework for implementation research (CFIR) and through qualitative interviews with parents, preparing PACT for translation.
