Applicants are expected to have a strong background in Fluid mechanics and Fluid dynamics. Candidates with expertise on computational methods/CFD and/or hands-on experience in fluid mechanics and in technologies such as particle image velocimetry (PIV) measurements are preferred. A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available at the University of Illinois at Chicago, for an outstanding and highly motivated candidate to investigate the mechanism by which immunometabolism is regulated in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) immune cells. This position will be focused on defining the molecular mechanism involved in RA macrophage, T cell, and fibroblast metabolism and their cellular cross-regulation by integrating cutting-edge molecular technologies with traditional cellular & molecular immunology-based approaches. All the research projects in the lab are translational and use patient blood, synovial fluid, and tissue to authenticate the preclinical findings.
