Postdoctoral position summary/title: Postdoc in Ship Emission Measurements.
The position includes experimental ship emission measurements of gases and particles, instrument development and data analysis.
Your major responsibility as postdoc is to perform your own research in a research group. The position also includes teaching on undergraduate and master’s levels as well as supervising master’s and/or PhD students to a certain extent. Another important aspect involves collaboration within academia and with society at large. The position is meritorious for future research duties within academia as well as industry/the public sector.

Postdoctoral position summary/title: Postdoc in Biophysical chemistry
The PostDoc will be a member of the Wilhelmsson research group, which is part of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Division of Chemistry and Biochemistry. The division is pursuing research in biophysical chemistry, optical spectroscopy, organic/medicinal chemistry, nanotechnology, analytical chemistry and energy/electron transfer reactions. The projects at the division are chosen to fulfil the requirements of the highest scientific standard, and the know-how they create on a molecular level is generally of importance for solving many advanced problems as well as for future practical applications. The span of potential applications is extremely wide: from life sciences to materials sciences.

The post doc position is placed at the Division of Industrial Biotechnology within the Department of Biology and Biological Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology. The Industrial Biotechnology group is a young, dynamic and international group of researchers established in 2008 and counts now around 40 members. We discover, engineer and apply enzymes and microorganisms. The common denominator of the research activities in the group is to optimize the use of renewable raw materials for the sustainable production of fuels, chemicals and materials within the main concept of biorefinery.

Postdoctoral position summary/title: Postdoc in physics and applications of phase-gradient metasurfaces.
The employment focuses on analysis and development of metasurfaces and optical antennas made of high-index dielectrics, such as Si and GaAs, or metals, primarily Au. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to one or several ongoing projects in the Käll group, which include
1) development and applications of metasurface-emitting lasers (VCELs integrated with phase-gradient dielectric metasurfaces);
2) biophotonics applications of metasurfaces (e.g. in imaging, biosensing, or optical manipulation);
3) thermoplasmonics (primarily for controling microfluidics);
4) active matter (e.g. smart microparticles based on phase-gradient metasurfaces).

(08) Postdoctoral Position
Postdoctoral position summary/title: Postdoc in cellular and molecular biology of ALS proteinopathy.
We are seeking a motivated and independent postdoctoral researcher to study protein aggregation in cell models of ALS pathology. We have developed a fluorescent cell model that enable direct (microscopy-based) visualization of ALS-associated proteins. Your task will be to characterise and further explore this cell model to explore mechanisms underlying protein inclusion formation and prion-like propagation in this poorly understood neuromuscular and degenerative disease. You will be recruited to a developing project with opportunity to, in collaboration with others, contribute new project ideas and directions, especially towards the role of molecular chaperones and intracellular trafficking in the disease process.

The aim of this postdoc project is to provide crucial contributions to this important problem by unlocking new fundamental understanding of the coupling between local structure, dynamics and luminescence. Special emphasis is laid on the investigation of local structural properties, using a combination of steady-state structural probes as well as time-resolved spectroscopy and diffraction. The work will be conducted in collaboration with other research groups, at Chalmers and in other countries. Specifically, the postdoc is expected to collaborate with PhD students already present in the group and that focus on neutron scattering studies of the dynamical nature of HOIPs. As part of the responsibilities, the postdoc may, apart from his/her own research, be as well collaborating with several researchers in neighboring subject areas.

We are offering a position as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the field of active flow control for drag reduction utilising artifical intelligence/machine learning. The objective is to design innovative techniques to control the flow over the superstructure of ships in order to maximise the aerodynamic performance of the vessel and reduce the total energy consumption and improve vessel comfort and safety.
