Eligible candidate may Apply as soon as possible.

(01) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title:  Postdoc position on Federated/Continual Learning for Time-Series IoT Data (TRUMAN Project)

The goal of TRUMAN is to design and develop generic technologies and methodologies for improving AI systems’ resilience against security, privacy, and fairness attacks, as well as to increase the trust that their users have in these systems, while accounting for different phases of the AI life cycle, starting from data collection through training and deployment.  Your specific focus (Work Package 3) is on Human-In-The-Loop AI and Continual Learning. We aim to build systems that excel in performance but prioritize robustness, fairness, and privacy, critical requirements when dealing with time-series data. More info about the TRUMAN project can be found here.

Deadline : February 16, 2026

(02) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc summary/title: Postdoc Position on multiphysics modelling and electrochemical testing of Na-salt battery

As part of the 30 Mio € SLDBattproject, we are looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to design and scale up a low-cost, safe and high energy density (up to 100 Wh/kg cell-level) long-duration battery (8+ hrs of storage) using sodium chloride and (recycled) aluminum with a NaAlCl4 electrolyte. You will work very closely with Exergy Storage, the battery developer, and another postdoctoral researcher in the PCS research group, to investigate the limiting physico-chemical phenomena inside the battery and propose design and operational strategies to overcome them. A core feature of your work will be combining multiphysics modelling for cell design with electrochemical testing, e.g. charge-discharge cycling and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, for model parametrization and validation. By leveraging this combined experimental and modelling approach, we aim to unlock innovations allowing for cell capacities up to 4 kWh and discharge durations of up to 100 hours.

(04) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc position in microbubbles for ultrasound molecular imaging

You will join an interdisciplinary research project in molecular ultrasound imaging using functionalized, monodisperse microbubbles. The project aims to understand how the acoustic response of microbubbles changes upon molecular binding to capillary blood vessel walls, how this response differs from that of freely circulating bubbles in confined vessel-like environments and in unbounded liquid, and how microbubbles can be designed to maximise the change in acoustic response upon binding. The long-term objective is to enable acoustic discrimination between bound and non-bound microbubbles through the combined design of microbubbles and ultrasound imaging sequences.

You will design, fabricate, and characterize viscoelastic capillary phantoms with controlled sizes and configurations using hydrogel-based materials and cleanroom microfabrication technologies. You will perform acoustic scattering and attenuation measurements and develop ultrasound imaging and characterization strategies using a Verasonics NXT fully programmable research ultrasound imaging system. The work requires strong hands-on experimental skills, creativity in experimental design, and an interest in combining microfluidics, acoustics, and ultrasound imaging.

(05) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: A Post doc position in Aluminium oxide in the PIXEurope pilot line

The Integrated Optical Systems (IOS) group is looking for a motivated post-doc to help us setup and develop a 200 mm pilot microfabrication line for photonic integrated circuits (PICs) in the aluminium oxide platform. The IOS group is a world leader in the development of this photonic platform, which is currently being manufactured in the 100 mm MESA+ Nanolab microfabrication facility. Within the PIXEurope consortium, the process will be transferred to 200 mm manufacturing and a process design kit (PDK) of building blocks will be developed in the platform. You get a unique opportunity to help position Europe as a leader in integrated photonics.
