Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Post-Doctoral Research Visit F/M Dynamic deployment of Edge computing and data forwarding devices
The Inria FUN research group investigates solutions to enhance programmability, adaptability and reachability of FUN (Future Ubiquitous Networks ) composed of RFID, wireless sensor and robot networks. Limited resources, high mobility and high security level evolving in distrusted environments characterize the objects that compose FUN. They communicate in a wireless way. To be operational and efficient, such networks have to follow some self-organizing rules. Indeed, components of FUN have to be able in a distributed and energy-efficient way to discover the network, self-deploy, communicate, self-structure in spite of their hardware constraints while adapting the environment in which they evolve. For additional information on the FUN research group, please see http://team.inria.fr/fun/

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Post-Doctoral Research Visit F/M Postdoctoral Scholar Position in Social Cognition F/M: Neural correlates of social skills in middle childhood
The ArticuLabo research group at Inria Paris is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join a multidisciplinary team developing an exciting and ambitious research program at the intersection of social neuroscience and artificial intelligence. Specificially we are developing ways to use hyperscanning techniques to better understand how children in middle childhood use language and nonverbal behavior to build and manage social relationships with peers. The results inform the design of innovative embodied conversational agents (ECAs) capable of helping children learn. Recently, an ever-growing number of neuroimaging studies have shown that specific brain areas, such as the temporo-parietal junction, superior temporal sulcus, and pre-frontal cortex show evidence of synchronization (i.e., inter-brain or neural synchrony) in people who are engaged in joint social interactions This observation results from the use of hyperscanning, a technique that allows the simultaneous recording of several brains

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Post-Doctoral Research Visit F/M Algorithms for sampling and convex optimization
Two of the most important ingredients behind the modern techniques and tools in data science are sampling and optimization algorithms. Even more, their applicability spans the whole spectrum of computer science and engineering. The need is for algorithms amenable to efficient implementations that scale to thousands of dimensions and also have theoretical guarantees both of their running time and the quality of the output. For this we need to exploit the geometry and the structure of the input, to understand in depth the required algebraic operations, and to employ novel algorithmic techniques.
