Dr. Lin’s laboratory focuses on the fundamental understanding of the development and progression of cardiovascular diseases. Current efforts in the lab center on molecular signaling events that control endothelial dysfunction, vascular inflammation and remodeling. Besides multidisciplinary approaches of molecular and cellular biology, genetics, genomics, and proteomics, a variety of animal models are utilized to address mechanistic basis of diseases such as atherothrombosis, aortic aneurysm and dissection, heart failure, pulmonary arterial hypertension and acute lung injury.

The McBride laboratory at Emory University School of Medicine is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to investigate the mechanisms of sporulation in the pathogen C. difficile. The laboratory employs a variety of in vitro and in vivo approaches to explore the genetic mechanisms and nutritional cues involved in spore formation, including molecular biology, biochemistry, and animal models of disease. Conduct research in the field of cardiovascular CT and MR imaging, artificial intelligence, CT-fractional flow reserve, dual energy CT, and will serve as a subject matter expert in the use and implementation of new technologies in cardiac imaging. The candidate needs to be experienced in clinical imaging analysis. We are looking for a candidate with a background in medicine and/or medical technology. Research experience in the field of cardiovascular CT and MR imaging is a must. The candidate needs to have experience with new imaging techniques and technologies such as dual energy CT, CT-Fractional Flow Reserve (CT-FFR), artificial intelligence and machine learning.
