We are seeking one self-motivated recent graduate with a PhD in neuroscience or related field to join the laboratories of Drs. Stephen F. Traynelis and Hongjie Yuan at the Department of Pharmacology and Chemical Biology, Emory University School of Medicine. The research focus of our laboratories is the function of glutamate NMDA receptors, disease-associated genetic variations in NMDA receptor encoding GRIN genes, and the development of subunit-selective compounds that correct the altered NMDA receptor function. Candidate should have solid graduate training and a strong publication record in neuroscience. The candidate will be responsible for performing molecular biology, immunohistochemistry, and electrophysiology, and behavioral studies.
