The objective of this research will be to evaluate the potential improvement in patient outcomes and cost avoidance to the health system and the patient through the use of the Synaptive 0.5 T Evry MRI for acute stroke patients. The Post-Doctoral Fellow will develop and evaluate mechanized/precision agriculture systems (hardware and software), under the supervision of Dr. Travis Esau P.Eng, to improve crop yield and technology transfer activities. They will participate in a combination of field and laboratory research and will be required to complete extensive travel throughout the Atlantic region. Periodic exposure to allergy constituents including dust, insects (e.g. honeybees) are a component of this position.

Dalhousie University is a public research university in Nova Scotia, Canada, with three campuses in Halifax, a fourth in Bible Hill, and medical teaching facilities in Saint John, New Brunswick. Dalhousie’s Faculty of Agriculture varsity teams are called the Dalhousie Rams, and compete in the ACAA and CCAA. Dalhousie is a coeducational university with more than 18,000 students and 130,000 alumni around the world. The university’s notable alumni include a Nobel Prize winner, 91 Rhodes Scholars, and a range of senior government officials, academics, and business leaders.
