The position will provide the opportunity for a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to take a major role in two experiments, the Simons Array and SPT-3G, which are designed to make precise measurements of the polarisation of the cosmic microwave background.  These B-modes are a promising probe of the neutrino masses (through gravitational lensing on small angular scales), inflation (through gravitational waves on large angular scales), and more exotic physics such as cosmic birefringence.
