Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Fellow in Materials Chemistry
The aim of the overall project is to develop new, fast, and energy-efficient solvents for carbon dioxide capture in a lower temperature range than usual. In the project, we focus on aminated and porous colloids and will use enzymes to catalyze the conversion of carbon dioxide to bicarbonate. The project is carried out in close collaboration with researchers at KTH and company partners. The funding comes from the Swedish Energy Agency and the relevance for bio-CCS (carbon capture and storage) and the Swedish energy system is important.

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Fellow in electron crystallography
The project is to develop new crystallographic methods based on 3D electron diffraction/MicroED to determine atomic structures of biological macromolecules. The goal is to establish methods and protocols for investigation of nano- and micro-sized 3D protein crystals by MicroED. These developments will open unprecedented opportunities for studying structures and properties of macromolecules. The project is funded by Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation.
Deadline : 9 March 2022.
(05) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Fellow in Mathematical Analysis
The position will be financed by a grant from Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation in the “Postdoctoral Scholarship Program in Mathematics for researchers from outside Sweden” entitled “Crystalline Measures”.
The subject of the studies will be crystalline measures, quantum graphs and quasicrystals. This project is based on the recent discovery that spectra of Laplacians on metric graphs lead to exotic one-dimensional measures being Fourier quasicrystals. We shall try to understand the connection to sphere packing and Fourier interpolation.
Deadline : 31 March 2022

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Fellow in Epigenetic Toxicology of Chemical Mixtures
We seek a postdoctoral fellow with strong skills in molecular toxicology, or in a closely related field, to develop and apply human cell-based methods for detection of epigenetic effects of real-world environmental chemical mixtures. You will work in an established team of toxicologists and analytical chemists currently investigating the endocrine effects of chemical contaminant mixtures found in human blood. The project will make effective use of national infrastructure, including liquid handling robotics and high-throughput screening technologies at Science for Life Laboratory (SciLifeLab), and you have access to cell culture facilities and high content analysis (HCA) instrumentation to further explore effects at the sub-cellular level. The position is a two year postdoctoral fellowship fully funded by the Swedish Research Council Formas.
Deadline : 22 April 2022.
(07) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Fellow with the topic Plant diversity on shore meadows along the Baltic Coast
The position will be part of a FORMAS financed project Coastal meadows – habitats on the move. Coastal meadows along the Baltic coast are a result of land uplift and grazing. In the past there were vast areas of well-connected coastal meadow but today only a fraction remain, grazed by livestock. Today they are threatened by climate change and only a fraction remains. Remnants of coastal meadows are important for biodiversity, especially for many red-listed birds, plants and insects but also for recreation. Despite efforts to restore coastal meadows threats of future sea-level rise have created new challenges. Coastal meadows will become smaller and more isolated when they are squeezed between rising sea levels and other land-covers in the near future.
Deadline : 21 February 2022
(08) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Researcher in stellar analysis for 4MOST (temporary employment)
The position will be associated with the project “Multi-dimensional analysis of the metal-poor Galaxy: the heavy elements” funded by the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation. The succesful candidate will join a group with three PhD students and three postdoctoral fellows.
Research in the area of stellar spectroscopy in the Milky Way in the group lead by Karin Lind. The successful candidate will be a member of the 4MOST consortium and its infrastructure working groups. Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Fellow in Deep Learning for Protein–Protein Interactions
Protein structure is essential for understanding their function as well as for developing drugs targeting proteins. Recently, a deep learning method that can predict the structure of most proteins was made freely available and a database with predicted structure was released. However, proteins do not act alone – they act together with other proteins. Therefore, the next major challenge is to use these types of methods for predicting protein–protein interactions. Initial studies from us have shown that it is possible to predict accurate structures of a large part of dimeric proteins using either a modified version of AlphaFold2 or AlphaFold-multimer. However, there are still many proteins that cannot be built accurately, nor are we able to always distinguish interacting from non-interacting protein pairs and to build larger complexes accurately is still an unsolved problem. In this project, we are recruiting two postdocs to leverage recent advances in the field of machine learning to build better deep-learning models for predicting protein–protein interactions and to apply these methods to biologically relevant problems.
Deadline : 28 February 2022.
