The Bischof lab seeks to hire a motivated postdoctoral researcher with a passion for epigenetics and chromatin biology. Our main research goal is to elucidate epigenetic mechanisms that control gene expression and maintain the integrity of the genome in plants and human cells. Ultimately, we aim at applying gained knowledge to improve plant traits and human health. The proposed project aims at identifying and characterizing new proteins that bind specific histone variants and posttranslational modifications in the plant model Arabidopsis thaliana.
