(01) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title:  Research Fellow in Mental & Physical Health Promotion

The National Addiction and Mental Health Surveillance Unit (NAMHSU) is leading a Medical Research Future Fund–supported program (2026–2030) to strengthen evidence on addiction, self-harm and mental ill health. The multidisciplinary study will analyse 20 years of binational cohort and cross-sectional data, link administrative datasets, and establish a new cohort. It will examine how alcohol availability affects adolescent and young adult health, informing policy, services and economic responses.

An exciting opportunity is available for a Research Fellow to support the design and delivery of this complex program, ensuring rigorous methodology, data integration and high-quality outputs. The role includes managing large linked datasets, preparing ethics and governance documentation, coordinating milestones across investigators, engaging stakeholders and a Community Advisory Group and contributing to publications and reports to ensure timely project delivery.

We are seeking a candidate with a doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent multidisciplinary research experience. Strong expertise in data collection, management and advanced analysis is essential, alongside a proven publication record, proficiency in Stata and Microsoft Office, and the capacity to contribute to competitive grant development.

(02) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc summary/title: Research Fellow, Data Science in Health Promotion

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Research Fellow – Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute

(08) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Research Fellow

The Research Fellow will contribute to an Australian Research Council funded Discovery Project entitled An Empirical Study of Agenda Setting in the High Court of Australia, playing a key role in producing rigorous, high-quality research and supporting the broader objectives of the team and institution. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to research in both collaborative and independent settings. 

Responsibilities include conducting research, producing publications and conference papers and engaging in professional activities such as seminars and conferences. The Research Fellow will also assist with administrative and coordination tasks for research projects and participate in relevant research meetings.

As the successful candidate, you will have a Ph.D, or be close to completing a Ph.D, in economics, political science, law or allied area. You will  demonstrate advanced expertise in quantitative and/or qualitative research methods, with proven experience in handling and analysing large datasets. You will be proficient in statistical software, such as R or Stata, and be capable of conducting independent research while collaborating effectively within interdisciplinary teams. You will possess strong organisational skills to set and achieve research goals, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues.

(09) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Research Fellow in Cryo-EM of organic semiconductors

Join Monash University, a global leader in advanced electron microscopy and materials research. Based at the Clayton campus, this role is an exceptional opportunity to conduct leading research in the development of cryo-EM methods to solve problems in an important class of challenging materials.

This Level A Research Fellow position will contribute to the ARC Discovery Project “Revealing Order in Organic Semiconductors with Cryo-Electron Microscopy.”  The successful candidate will apply and develop advanced cryo-electron diffraction and imaging methods to uncover structure–property relationships in organic semiconductor materials, working closely with Professor Chris McNeill in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Dr. Amelia Liu in the School of Physics & Astronomy as well as alongside two PhD students also funded to work on the project.

The research will be supported by Monash’s world-class research infrastructure in electron microscopy. This includes the Monash Centre for Electron Microscopy and the Ramaciotti Centre for Cryo-EM that both house advanced scanning/transmission electron microscopes equipped with state-of-the-art electron detectors and a full suite of correlative and specimen preparation instruments (SEM, cryo-FIB-SEM, ultramicrotomy, etc). Monash researchers can also access a range of high-performance computing infrastructure.

Applicants must hold a PhD (or equivalent experience/education/training) in a relevant discipline and demonstrate expertise in advanced electron microscopy of materials or a closely related area. Additionally, the successful applicant will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to lead and contribute to research projects as part of a diverse team.
