PhD position summary/title: PhD Position in Adipose Tissue Inflammation and Metabolic Health

 PhD position is available in the laboratory of Prof. Yibo Wu at the Department of Biomedical Sciences (DBS), Faculty of Biology and Medicine (FBM), University of Lausanne (UNIL). Our research focuses on unraveling the molecular mechanisms linking white adipose tissue (WAT) inflammation to obesity, its associated metabolic complications, and its role in mediating responses to emerging therapies. We employ systems biology approaches, integrating advanced proteomics, bioinformatics, and multi-omics analysis to uncover fundamental mechanisms that govern human metabolic health.

PhD position summary/title: Graduate Assistant in Geography of Active Mobilities

The Institute of Geography and Sustainability (IGD) seeks to fill a position of Graduate Assistant in Geography of Mobilities. This position is linked to the research group of Prof Patrick Rérat and the Observatory for Cycling and Active Mobilities (OUVEMA).
The IGD has around 130 members working in the fields of geography and sustainability, combining humanities and natural sciences. The IGD offers an international, interdisciplinary environment that is stimulating and conducive to high-level research. 

OUVEMA is an interdisciplinary research platform on cycling and active mobilities. Its areas of research are: 1) practices and behaviour; 2) policies; 3) planning and the built environment; 4) health. OUVEMA develops close ties with both the international research community and with actors in the field (action research, co-construction of expertise, etc.).

Funded for 4 years by the Swiss National Science Foundation, the laboratory of Prof. Niko Geldner in the Department of Plant Molecular Biology at the University of Lausanne is seeking a position for a collaborative research project with Prof. Meibom, as well as Prof. Ramakrishna, at EPFL. We look for strongly motivated candidates for a young researcher position (either Postdoc or PhD student) to study plant physiology using the cutting edge genetic and analytical technics, including the novel (and unique) CryoNanoSIMS instrument.
