(01) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title:  Research Fellow B in AI multi-omics for health and well-being

We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher (>10 years)  who already has ample amount of demonstrated experience in human genetics consortia, genetic epidemiology and statistical multi-omics. They have lead/co-lead large human genetic/omics studies and will transfer their experience to help on ongoing projects at the section of Statistical Multi-Omics, Department of Clinical & Experimental Medicine, topic of “AI Multi-omics for Health and Wellbeing”. They will be coordinating and co-supervising research activities in ongoing projects of Dr Ayse Demirkan, such as, but not limited to- applications of machine learning methodology within the data integration platform being developed at the section. They will be an effective member of the grant writing team as researcher Co-I status and provide analytical support in the specific topic where needed. They will also official and unofficially co-supervise of PhD students and younger team members.  They will be required to report weekly and attend section’s weekly research meetings. (02) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc summary/title: Research Fellow in Biorefineries and Bioeconomy

Applications are invited for the position of a Research Fellow at the Centre for Environment & Sustainability. The position involves a range of activities including two biorefinery/bioeconomy publications on policy and technology assessments for Mexico. You will join a team of postdoctoral and PhD students working on different aspects of software development and data analysis related to engineering problems. (03) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: BHF Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Cardiac Electrophysiology

The successful applicant will join an interdisciplinary team at the school and will be primarily engaged in the conduct of electrophysiological work (e.g patch clamp studies, sharp electrode experiment, calcium imaging etc). The candidate ideally should be familiar with live tissue slicing and working with hIPSC cultures and selected molecular work primarily associated with mitochondrial studies using flux analyzers.  Additionally, a major component of this post will also involve data analysis and interpretation data management and archiving, project administration and manuscript preparation. A proven track record in these areas is essential.

(04) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Research Fellow A

We seek a post-doctoral research associate (PDRA) for a research project funded by Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC)/UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Healthy Ageing Challenge, as part of the Social, Behavioural & Design Research Programme.  The project aims to explore the role of hospitality businesses in connecting lives and building communities by identifying the potential opportunities for the hospitality business to play an influential role in supporting social connections. The successful candidate will be working with Dr Lorna Wang based in the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Prof Andrew King (Dept of Sociology) and Dr Kimberley Smith (Dept of Psychology) at University of Surrey as well as project partner Toynbee Hall London.
