Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: POSTDOC IN HYDROTHERMAL OXIDATION OF SPENT HYDROGEN SULFIDE SCAVENGERS
This postdoc position is announced as part of the ZeroH2S project funded by the Danish Hydrocarbon Research and Technology Center with the aim of eliminating the environmental impact of production chemicals (scavengers) used for removal of hydrogen sulfide from the produced natural gas stream in offshore oil and gas production. This process leads to the generation of a wastewater stream, containing both unreacted and spent scavengers, whose discharge contributes remarkably to the environmental impact factor of offshore oil and gas production.
Deadline : 02/01/2022
(04) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: POSTDOC IN STABILITY AND RELIABILITY OF INVERTER-BASED POWER SYSTEMS
The position is offered in relation to the research program “Power Electronic Control and System Reliability” and the Postdoc will be positioned to the section for Applied Power Electronics Systems (APES).
The postdoc position is a part of a research grant on REliable Power Electronic based Power System (REPEPS) from the Villum Foundation Investigator programme running from 2017 to 2023, which is awarded to Professor Frede Blaabjerg. The overall goal is to develop new methods for ensuring reliable and safe operations of power electronic based power systems. An integrated reliability assessment tool, which can incorporate both the physical characteristics of hardware components and control software optimization at the system level, will be developed for predicting the lifetime of power electronic based power systems. New insights into the mutual interactions of power electronic converters need to be revealed to leverage the control effects of power electronics for power grid stabilization and protection as well as hardening of the overall system.
Deadline : 02/01/2022
(05) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: POSTDOC IN GRID-FORMING CONTROL CONVERTERS
The position is offered in relation to the research program “eGrid” and the Postdoc will be positioned to the section for Power Electronics System Integration and Materials “PE-SIM”.
Research areas will be within grid-forming power electronic systems with a focus on the control system development, covering both control hardware design and software programming with FPGA/DSP for inverters, small-/large-signal modeling and dynamic analysis of grid-converter interactions, and control methods with high stability robustness in a wide range of grid conditions.

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: ONE OR MORE POSTDOCS IN EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH IN 5G-ENABLED DIGITAL TWINS AND ROBOTS
This postdoc project focuses on the design, implementation, and testing of wireless time-critical control solutions targeting real operational IIoT use cases based on mobile robots and robotic manipulators. Such solutions will make use of 5G for providing cloud-control support and interaction with a virtual “Digital twin” representation of the production system. The postdoc is expected to collaborate with other researchers and a number of industrial partners in the integration of wired wireless industrial networks and the development of different IIoT prototypes and demonstrators based on real operational industrial equipment like production lines, PLCs, I/O systems, robotic arms, IoT sensors, HD cameras, AMRs, etc. The postdoc will also investigate performance of the designed solutions over a choice of wireless technologies such as WiFi 5, public/private 4G LTE, private 5G NR sub-6GHz/mmWave, WiFi 6, MuLTEfire, or LoRa which will be available at the “AAU 5G Smart Production Lab”
Deadline : 02/01/2022
(07) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: POSTDOC IN BIDIRECTIONAL PROSTHESIS CONTROL
The candidates that are enrolled through this call will be working on developing a natural control of myoelectric hand prostheses. Modern hand prostheses are advanced robotic systems with individually controllable fingers and a rotatable wrist. They are operated by recording the electrical activity of the muscles (EMG) in the residual limb to recognize the motion intention of the user (e.g., grasp pattern) and command the prosthesis accordingly. This is an intuitive approach to prosthesis control; however, it is a challenge to extract enough information from the EMG to command multiple functions, reliably and robustly.
Deadline : 16/12/2021
(08) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position
Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: POSTDOC IN INTELLIGENT CONTROL FOR SELF-ADAPTING POWER ELECTRONICS TO MAINTAIN FUTURE POWER GRID INTEGRITY
The position is offered in relation to the research group “EMI/EMC in Power Electronics” and the Postdoc will be positioned to the section for Applied Power Electronic Systems.
Research areas will be within Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and compatibility (EMC) modeling and mitigation in power electronic systems. The main research topics will focus on intelligent control of power electronics and analytical EMI modeling of differential and common mode noise for conducted emissions at device and system level.
