(01) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral fellowship (Postdoc) position in the field of Model Predictive Control (MPC) / Reinforcement Learning

The Postdoc in this position will be responsible for managing a group of PhD students (6 students), developing his/her own research, and developing new research funding applications. The position will provide a solid experience for higher-level academic positions.

(02) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoc within Molecular Imprinting Polymer (MIP) and Nanomaterials for Sensing Applications

We have a vacancy for a Postdoc position in Molecular Imprinting Polymer (MIP) and Nanomaterials for Sensing Applications at the department of manufacturing and civil engineering at NTNU. The Postdoc candidate will design and synthesis MIPs for selective sensing of different Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) gases. The candidate will also develop 2D transduction nanomaterials using e.g., MXene or graphene, including their or nanohybrids.

(03) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Fellow in the area of sustainable carbon-based supercapacitors

The successful candidate for this position must be able to conduct independent, yet highly collaborative research and development in the area of sustainable carbon-based supercapacitors. The candidate will be asked to optimize the synthesis and formation of activated carbon from biomass under industrial processing constraints. The carbon material will then be used to fabricate supercapacitor devices and measure a variety of electrochemical performance and reliability metrics. The candidate is expected to be capable of performing complementary material characterization (electron microscopy, x-ray analysis, etc.), to adequately evaluate the relationships between the carbon synthesis/processing conditions and device performance.

(09) Postdoctoral Fellowship Position

Postdoc Fellowship Position summary/title: Postdoctoral Fellow in battery production modeling

The selected candidate will join an interdisciplinary team with PhDs and postdoctoral staff undertaking research to support the development of a sustainable battery industry. The research within the group spans from laboratory research on battery production processes to life cycle assessment and scenario analysis. The team has developed a modeling framework that spans the modeling of individual processes, factory flow sheeting, material value chains, and life cycle assessment of battery production. The objective of the position is to advance the current modeling framework for factory flow sheeting, improve interfaces with the other model components, and apply these in combination.
