The project aims to understand the role of sensorimotor circuits for whole-body motor behavior in mice. The successful candidate should show a high level of responsibility and independency, be able to collaborate with others in a team, and possess good English communication skills. Applicants should have a strong neuroscience background with documented experience in using mice as a model system. We are seeking candidates with documented experience in surgery, animal behavior, virus injections, and electrophysiology. We are looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher with an interest in melanoma biology and treatment. You should hold great prior knowledge in tumor biology, and it is preferred that you already are familiar with tumor biomarkers in liquid biopsies including extracellular vesicle (EV) associated biomarkers. We have an opening for a post-doctoral fellow wishing to join a multidisciplinary project aimed to understand the role of lipid mediators and inflammatory cytokines in lung disease. The goal is to define mechanisms of relevance to asthma that ultimately may become novel targets for future treatments. The post-doctoral fellow will lead a project to investigate interactions between lipid mediators and key cytokines in type 2 as well as non-type 2 inflammation (see e.g. PMID: 37336434, 36116518 and 34175307) using freshly isolated tissues from the small airways of humans. The project aim is to generate a broad physiological understanding that includes functional, phenotypic, and genomic investigations of the impact of bioactive lipids in asthma.

The successful candidate will investigate the impact of MYC in metabolic reprogramming to identify novel metabolic proteins that could be used as potential therapeutic targets. Another project concerns alternative strategies involving MYC to induce differentiation of childhood neuroblastoma. The postdoctoral researcher is expected to take a leading role in experimental design, experimental performance, data analysis, and presentation/publication of the results in manuscripts as well as at conferences. The successful candidate should have experience in writing grant applications and in supervising Bachelor and Master students.

The goal of our research is to uncover the pathophysiological mechanisms behind why diabetic people present worsened stroke outcome.

We search for a candidate with PhD in neuroscience and experience with brain pathology and behavioural tests. Stroke/Diabetes/metabolism background is a strong plus.

The postdoctoral fellow will perform studies on spinal cord regeneration with special focus on establishment and re-organization of neural networks and neurogenesis during regeneration.

The task involves the usage of different mice strains housed in our SPF animal house lacking certain immune receptors. Mice will be immunized, and immune cells will be extracted and studied at different time points. Isolated cells will be stained with panels of antibodies and evaluated by flow cytometry. Co-culture in vitro experiments are crucial to uncover mechanisms behind the imbalanced immune response that leads to psoriasis. Gene expression and western blot analysis will be carried out on key immune cell populations to validate single cell RNA sequencing and proteomic results. Serological study on human cohort will be assessed ELISA and Luminex-based method to determine the antibody/inflammatory response and flesh out correlations with disease activity. In vivo and in vitro experiments are planned to test the efficacy and dose of the experimental drug provided by our Biotech collaborators.

The project aims to combine animal models together with a unique cohort of early psoriatic arthritis to investigate new possibilities for therapy and diagnostics based on a deeper understanding of the underlying causes of the disease psoriatic vulgaris (PsV) and psoriatic arthritis (PsA). Mouse models are imperative to the success of the project, therefore mannan-induced psoriasis model will be used since it mimics the human disease better both genetically and functionally. Clinical samples from a large psoriasis cohort will be assessed to develop better serologic diagnosis for PsV and PsA. The project will also bridge animal research to Biotech companies in order to test experimental molecules and assess their effect on animal models of PsV and PsA. Lastly, single cell RNA sequencing and state-of-the-art proteomic analyses will be applied to uncover signalling pathways in targeted immune cell populations that are known to regulate psoriasis disease activity.
