Since the first batch of 97 students joined in July 2009, IIT Mandi has grown to currently host 132 faculty, 1,655 students (enrolled in various undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes) and 1,141 alumni. Since the inception of the institute, IIT Mandi faculty have been involved in over 275 Research and Development (R&D) projects worth more than Rs. 120 crore. In the past 10 years, the institute has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with as many as 11 international and 12 national universities.

Title of the Project: Development and Implementation of Non-Gray Radiation Model for Combustion Applications
Funding Agency: ARDB – DRDO
Name(s) of the Project Investigator(s): Dr. Pradeep Kumar and Dr. Gaurav Bhutani
Duration of the Project: In months: 36
Eligibility/Qualification Senior Research Fellow position
M.Tech in Fluid and Thermal Engineering and related areas and minimum of two years of experience (preferably in industry) after M.Tech preferably in the domain of combustion and having the knowledge of a computational tool.
Candidate must have qualified GATE in their academic career. Candidate with good programming skills in C/C++ will be preferred. Candidate may be offered Junior Research Fellow position if found suitable and not meeting the experience requirement.
Senior Research Fellow Salary:
Rs. 35000/- p.m.
